Abstract

Theoretical, literary and aesthetic categories and concepts are presented as a tool of understanding the work of art as well as the analysis of the phenomena in various fields of knowledge and areas
of communication. The author presents experience of systematization of theoretical, literary and aesthetic categories and concepts. It is analyzed educational-methodological complex in literature (grades 5–9) and the elective course «Word — image — sense: philological analysis of literary work» (grades 10–11) ed. by V.F. Chertov in the aspect of development of literary competence of students as the basis of their reading independence.
